AFJROTC Car Wash

AFJROTC+Car+Wash

Thomas Harper, Writer

Is your car looking a little worse for wear? Dirty? Covered in strange white splotches that inexplicably fall from the sky? Then make sure to stop by Bob Jones for the annual Air Force JROTC car wash!

Our cadets will be diligently hand-washing vehicles from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday, March 26th.

This is one of the best carwashes a person can get in Alabama, complete with soaking, rinsing, and drying for both the body and rims.

The cadets are requesting a small donation of $5 in order to raise funds for a field trip to Florida. The funds from the car wash will not only help cover the cost of transportation, lodging, and meals, but also will assist cadets whose families are financially troubled.

Andrew Smith, often featured on the morning announcements and a proud member of AFJROTC, said, “As our biggest fundraising event, the car wash is what enables us to be able to participate in all the different activities we’re a part of. Often, the car wash is a great success, but student buyers have to be a part of the equation or else raising our minimum amount will be a stretch.”

So drive down to the Bob on March 26th to get your car a good old-fashioned wash and help out the cadets!
