It is that time of the year again, Patriots! Football season is here, and everyone is waiting for our annual game against James Clemens High School.  We have won for four years in a row. The football players, band, cheerleaders, and dance team are all ready and pumped up, but the cheerleaders need your help.

During the week of the James Clemens vs. Bob Jones game, August 29 – September 2, the Cheerleaders are having a peanut butter and jelly drive. What will they do with all this peanut butter and jelly?

Mrs.Williams said, “It goes to all the people in Madison who aren’t as fortunate, and it gives them a source of food.”

We are giving it to Inside-Out Ministries. Mrs.Thaxton said, “The shelves are low on stock at Inside-Out; we need peanut butter and jelly. We need more for children and adults who need our help.”

Inside-Out Ministries distributes it among local food banks that give it to the less fortunate men, women, and children. Mrs.Thaxton also stated, “The reason peanut butter and jelly is so great is because a six-year-old could make it, instead of them trying to make something on the stove, which isn’t safe.”

When you bring in your peanut butter and jelly, you can bring to any baskets around the school or give it to your first block teacher if you do not bring it to the football game. If you bring it to the football game, we will most likely have a red truck for you to put it in.

Mrs.Williams said, “We need all we can get. So please bring as much as you can. It is going to take all of us to help make this difference.”

So Patriots, please bring in your peanut butter and jelly.
