Valentine’s Day is less than a week away, and Bob Jones students are wondering how to celebrate the holiday. Luckily, Student Government Association (SGA)  and the Tri-M Music Honor Society will host a Valentine’s Swing Dance to recognize the holiday.

For the last few years, the two organizations have put on a swing dance. The popularity of previous swing dances has led to the decision to have another. Some people wonder why the students of SGA and Tri-M put on the dance.

Senior and Tri-M member Anna Flowers stated, “People like coming to the dance. It’s just to have a good time. It’s at school, so they don’t have to go to a different place to learn.”

SGA and Tri-M will host the dance on February 11th, beginning at 7 pm in the Bob Jones big gym. Tickets to attend the dance will be for sale at the door for five dollars each. Drinks and food will also be provided.

Students who do not know how to swing dance should not fret! There will be a swing dance lesson before the main event starts. The lesson will begin at 6 pm for all students who would like to attend. A local swing dance teacher, Julie Wright, will be providing the lessons.

If dancing and eating food sounds like a good time, come to this weekend’s Valentine’s Day Swing.
