The competition for Madison Student Art Festival has been tough and the winners have finally been decided. Bob Jones High School had three students win the top three positions. The winners are Namena Bojang, Julie Bartlow, and Ernesto Rodriguez respectively.
Namena Bojang and Ernesto Rodriguez from Art II drew wonderful self-portraits with brown water color background, and Julie Bartlow from Advanced Art drew an illustration of twin foxes.
Bob Jones has been planting seeds in various career fields these past years. Arts and Entertainment has always been one of the fields that many Bob Jones’ students have expressed their extraordinary talents. “I’m glad I got second,” said Julie Bartlow, a senior who won second place.
Because of these wins, the Bob Jones’ Art Department has earned a $100 award from the Madison Street Festival. “I was very proud of them,” said Mrs. Lakso. The hundred dollars that the Bob Jones Art Department earned for each winner will go straight to the students and they will be able to buy their own art supplies.
