Do you spend enough time outside? If the answer is no, then here are two places where you can take in the fresh air and have a great time! When Covid-19 hit, many businesses fell, but outdoor venues rapidly grew due to their promised safety. Stovehouse and MidCity Market are two booming outdoor venues here in Huntsville.

Stovehouse, located off Governors Drive in Huntsville, has grown exponentially over the past several months. The outdoor venue has so much to offer including these eateries: Parm & Pepper, Kamado Ramen, Bark & Barrel BBQ, Fresno Grille, Oh Crepe!, Oscar Moon’s Classic, El Cazador, and Charlie Foster’s. Several businesses and small shops are located throughout the venue. With different events happening daily, there is so much to do for people of all ages. Emily Doung, Bob Jones student, said, “Outside was lively but not overly loud, and outside eating is always pleasant.”

MidCity District is a little closer to Madison. With plans to be the entertainment hub of Madison, they are continuously growing. Currently, there are more things to do than there are to eat. Wahlburgers, Kung Fu Tea, and another Kamado Ramen sit in the center of MidCity. There are so many things to do like TopGolf, Dave & Busters, High Point, REI Co-Op, and The Camp. Coming soon to that area is the famous Trader Joe’s, which I know so many of us are excited about. Color Me Mine, paint it yourself business, is also joining the District. The most popular activity at MidCity is The Camp; they have a coffee shop and on the weekends a decent-sized farmers’ market where small business owners can set up shop for the day!

If you haven’t visited either of these awesome places, make sure to this summer. Try authentic crepes at Stovehouse or visit the weekend market at MidCity then enjoy some burgers at Wahlburgers. There is so much to explore!
