For many artists and entertainers in the Huntsville metro region, and the Southeast, the Panoply Arts Festival will be returning to Big Spring Park. This festival has been around for over four decades since 1982. This year’s dates will be April 25 through April 27, 2025. There will be over 100 visual artists to converge on the Arts Marketplace, and Bob Jones art students will have works on display in the student art tent.
The festival which is sponsored by Mazda Toyota Manufacturing, is a premier in Southeastern arts, culture, music and community. Recently, Huntsville mayor Tommy Battle joined the board of Arts Huntsville, along with staff and volunteers from the Huntsville/ Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau to announce details about the festival. There will be three entrances to the festival, each located near the YMCA, Big Spring Park, and Von Braun Center. The day passes (tickets) are available right now at artshuntsville.org or they can be purchased at the entrance gates, presented by Redstone Federal Credit Union. Children under 12 are free of charge.
The local music that will be played at Panoply will include over 20 musicians and bands from music genres ranging from jazz to bluegrass to pop music. The Art Marketplace, one of the festival’s most well-known features, will have over 100 visual artists selling all types of artwork from ceramic to paintings, with artists hailing from 20 states. For children there will be face painting and an art tent, along with numerous STEAM activities. The Creativity Corner in the festival will have Panoply Robot Puppies, Dancing Princess and Snake sculptures, and the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra “Discover Music” guild. Over seventeen food trucks will be available, with food ranging from lemonade to gelato ice cream. The ending of Panoply on Friday and Saturday will have fireworks presented by Delta Research.
