After a long day of routine classes and hours of sitting down with boring homework, many kids want to do something more entertaining. Some people find something to do around their house, or go outside and explore, but more often than not, they want to go out with their friends somewhere fun. Although some local entertainment spots like Insanity have closed, others are opening. There’s a new place to go to have a “field day” of fun! As you drive along 6123 University Drive in Huntsville, you may spot a new building. Field Day is right next to GigaParts.

Now, if you’re wondering what makes this place so special, there are loads of things to do. It’s similar to Dave & Busters, Top Golf, or Main Event, but it has different activities. You can play 18-hole mini golf, golf simulators, axe-throwing, darts, fun-sized duckpin bowling, and karaoke to relieve your boredom. If you just want to do something where you can sit and relax, the giant screens at Field Day show major sports games. If you want some fun but don’t want to pay for it, karaoke and Wednesday’s movie nights are free! 

If you get hungry after all of these fun activities, there’s a variety of delicious food. They offer nachos, onion rings, fries, a variety of burgers, including the Cosmic Q and Glazed Galaxy, salads, different pizzas like the Spicy Italian and BBQ Chicken, and delicious desserts like the Cosmic Brownie Bowl and the Asteroid Belt.
