Bento Box is a restaurant in Madison well known for its Asian cuisine, located right down the street from Bob Jones. The establishment is family owned and often praised for its authentic food and warm environment. The three women who run the restaurant work hard, and it definitely shows in the positive ratings. One review read, “The ladies make everything themselves, and you can taste the love and effort behind their food.” Though business is always booming, the place has been up and running for nearly 12 years. It was only a matter of time before they took a break; that’s right, Bento Box is closing.

It’s safe to say that Bento Box has gotten a lot of love throughout the years. Five star reviewers appreciate the Asian diner for its quality meals. “Very reasonably priced, generous portions, tastes great,” a satisfied customer wrote. Another critic’s review read, “The food, service, and atmosphere was outstanding.” However, the family is excited for what the future holds. One member, Sharon, said they planned on “taking a nice, long vacation.”

“Bento Box is one of my favorite restaurants, and I’m going to miss all the memories had in there, from eating there on the first day of school to [explaining] my entire family’s order,” said Bob Jones senior Casey Kula. The last day they will be open is Monday, April 15. If you haven’t tried it out, I would definitely recommend doing so before it’s too late.

Bento Box, you will be missed!
