Black History Month

It’s Black History Month, and Bob Jones is having a door decorating contest to commemorate the occasion.
1. Choose an African American Icon (living or dead) from one of the following categories:
- African American Inventors
- African American Musicians
- African American – First to…
2. Decorate your classroom door based on this person.
3. What do you need to have? – At least 1 image and 3-5 facts about him/her. (Of course, you can do more!)
Teachers, clubs, and participating sports will need to sign up by FEBRUARY 9.
Doors must be completed by THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 23. JUDGING WILL TAKE PLACE ON FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 24.
You will be judged based on the following:
- Creativity
- Information shared
- Neatness/Organization
But wait, there’s more!
At the end of the month, participating students will do a scavenger hunt collecting these jewels of knowledge you will have shared. They will turn in their complete/correct sheets for a small treat.
