Bob Jones has an award-winning baseball program, decorated with state titles and many players who continue careers in college. The varsity team is off to a great with half the season to go and is currently ranked number 5 in the state. Head coach, Jared Smith said, “We are off to one of the best starts in school history so we hope that carries over to area play.”

Several young men who have been brought up in the program been offered the opportunity to continue their career in college. Recently, current player, Dylan Ray, committed to Alabama. “Growing up an Alabama fan made it where I couldn’t see myself going anywhere else. The coaching staff is awesome, and the facilities are incredible. I’m just super blessed for an opportunity to play at my dream school,” said Ray. Other players to look out for this season are Brendan Bickleman, Caden Rose, Cam Hill, Mitchell Daly, and Slate Alford.

The team trains all year round to prepare for the season in hopes to be as strong as possible physically and mentally. “I feel like the program has came a long way. I think the main reasons for our success are our weight training program, hitting and pitching philosophy, and culture that we have created here. Our kids love to come to practice as they can see improvements from what we do,” said Coach Smith.
