Almost halfway through their season this fall, the Bob Jones Swim & Dive team has done exceedingly well. The team participated in the Homecoming Parade and has been very successful at their recent meets. Both the men and women’s teams were ranked #1 at the Dual at the Pool competition vs JC and were awarded the keeping of their trophies.

The team is very close and not only enjoy their sport but enjoy their time together. Senior dive athlete Jessica Swartz shared, “Meets are really fun because our team is very competitive. We all want to do our best, and I think that makes the team very close-knit. We all coach one another and cheer each other on.” It is clear the team is an important piece of not only their school lives but their day-to-day life as well. Swartz said, “My team is my family. A few of us spend time with one another outside of the pool and that’s really fun. I met my best friend through dive!” It is nothing short of inspiring to see how much these students enjoy their time with their sport.

Head Coach of the team is Wade Thaxton.
