I was born in Virginia and spent my early years in sword fights with my brother. After 11 years of this, my father’s job with NASA sent my family on a trip down south to a rural part of Alabama. Madison has been my home now for the past seven years. Over that time I’ve learned to play a trumpet, say y’all, sing in a church choir, say “roll tide!”, and make myself tolerant to republicans. More than that, I’ve learned to accept this strange southern place that I at first was so foreign to. I am proud to call Alabama my home. I hope to attend Emerson University in Boston, Massachusetts and major in Film Production.
