Our school is known for excellence in sports and academics, but one program in the shadows is the award-winning culinary program taught by Mrs. Julie Bone.
The class competes in several competitions throughout the school year. Darius Ringer, a winner of the school competition that is competing in Montgomery this weekend, understands what it’s like to work hard for something. “I have always wanted to be a chef. Cooking is my passion,” Darius Ringer stated.
He has taken culinary since the eleventh grade, improving his culinary skills along the way. Not only is the class equipped with top-notch appliances, but students are eligible for scholarships at places like Johnson and Whales, one of America’s most profound culinary institutes.
Mrs. Bone encouraged every student to take a culinary course if they are interested in being a chef.
“You won’t regret taking the class,” Darius Ringer shared.
