Books such as these can help prepare a student for the ACT.
What is four hours long, determines futures for many, and is dreaded by all high school students? That’s right: the ACT. As the spring semester starts, students at Bob Jones High School prepare themselves to take the test that could potentially change their lives. According to act.org, the ACT stands for American College Testing, and measures academic achievement in four major areas: english, reading, math, and science. A high score on the ACT could result in thousands of dollars in scholarships and acceptance into almost any school that a student applies for.
Fortunately, Bob Jones offers classes to prepare students for the upcoming test and provide them with tips and strategies to help them achieve the score they desire. Connor C., a senior at Bob Jones, was asked about what he did to prepare for the ACT. “The first time I took it, I got a 21. That was in my junior year. I decided to take the ACT Test Prep class and bumped my score up to a 27 the next time I took it. The class helped a lot.”
Connor, like many other students at Bob Jones, benefited from the opportunities that he had been given. “I think all juniors should take the class. It really helps,” said Connor. The incredibly gifted teachers that teach the class, including Mrs. Hadden, push students to their full potential in order to get as close to a 36 as they can. Along with classes, test prep books are available, as well as an ACT Test Prep app on iTunes. Bob Jones students, get your study on!
