The new coffee shop is doing more than making the student body awake, alert, and ready to learn. It is also bringing new people to the media center who, on their own, wouldn’t usually come.

Mrs. Husky, the lady in charge of this caffeine fueled dream, said, “This coffee shop is drawing new people to the media center that usually wouldn’t come here.”

While students are enjoying the freshly brewed coffee, they are also fundraising. For every cup of coffee sold, the proceeds will purchase new books, ebooks, and even foreign language books.  Not only does this new coffee shop benefit the customers, there are also scholarship opportunities for future student aid helpers.

Even though the new coffee shop is already doing very well, there are still a few things missing that would perfect the coffee shop. The media center seeks donations for the following: bistro seats, wooden bar stools, and small tables. Any donations would be appreciated.

Student are already loving the new addition. As Maria Torres says, “The coffee keeps me awake through the afternoon, and it also taste really good.” With students and Mr.Parker raving over the coffee, there is a bright future for the coffee shop.
