On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me – a donation for the library! Those are the lost lyrics to that song, in case you were wondering.
It’s that time of year again, folks. Whether you love it or hate it, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day are fast approaching. Hearing those holiday names usually sparks delirious mental hallucinations of turkeys weighing the size of a baby and way too much wrapping paper to be able to clean up in the afternoon. However, there’s an oft-forgotten part to this time of year: the spirit of giving.
Our media center gives so much to students: they give free books, study material, access to iPads and laptops, an awesome book club, emergency school supplies, and in general, a place to get a breather from our sometimes stifling classrooms. So, since they give so much, why don’t students return the favor?
The library’s asking for book donations right about now, so gather your used or new books and start being a good person! If you see any great books you love missing from the library, like any titles from a book series, feel free to drop them off. Mrs. Huskey has personally requested some of the following titles as well:
