Three Weeks of Patriot Path

Noah Vermillion and Malachi Battle

Patriot Path is running smoother the second time around. The new app makes registering easier, and if you forget what you chose or where it’s located, there is now the feature to check what you signed up for on the app.

Most people seem to be happy with how things are going. Senior Carl Yem enjoyed trying out for scholars’ bowl during Patriot Path. Kai Vest enjoyed the photography session with Mrs. Bergeson because he “found a new hobby.”

Junior Rebecca Robinson said, “My favorite session was adult coloring because it’s a good way for people to relax and relieve their stress.”

Some sessions might not have been the best. Rain caused sessions like soccer and cornhole to be moved inside. Jimmy Carter, a junior, liked team trivia but didn’t enjoy losing.

Aaron Michaels, a sophomore, said, “History Through Cinema was a bit misleading because I thought it was referring to revolutionary movies that have made cinematic history. Instead, it was movies that had a historical setting. It was not bad; I was just expecting something else.”

If you don’t see sessions you like, you can always suggest sessions or even lead them yourself. Kegan Beilstein, a freshman, suggested a lacrosse session as a new addition. Suggestions from others included more craft sessions, more cooking sessions, and more computer science sessions. Another suggestion included having sessions like Color Guard or band open to everyone, including beginners.

Mrs. Carroll, the new media specialist, is the point of contact if you have any suggestions for new Patriot Path sessions.
