On March 27th, the English Department, along with any other students that would like to attend, will be making a trip to the Alabama Shakespeare Festival in Montgomery to see Romeo and Juliet. Afterwards, juniors and seniors will make a trip to the National Memorial for Peace and Justice and The Legacy Museum, a memorial for victims of lynchings. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity, as The Alabama Shakespeare Festival is a highly respected professional theatre, with year-round world-class performances of Shakespeare’s works, along with other classic and contemporary pieces.

The trip will cost $28 for students and $30 for any parent chaperones that would like to attend. Buses will load in the BJHS south lot between 5:45 and 6:00 AM and the performance will begin at 10:00 AM. Any English teacher can collect student forms and checks for this trip.

Juniors and seniors will tour the National Museum for Peace and Justice from 1:00-4:00 PM.

Field trip forms and Out-of-Town/Overnight Medical Release Forms are due February 22nd.

(Note: Out-of-Town/Overnight Medical Release Form must be notarized)
