With the school year quickly approaching, it’s important for everyone, especially seniors, to stay on top of every responsibility that comes flying your way. Below is important information/dates to keep in mind for seniors. However, the very best way to stay informed is by checking the 2025 Senior Checklist sent out by Mrs. Van Dam, which is linked HERE.
In the coming weeks, make sure to keep these things in mind:
- May 2: Senior Day
- Senior breakfast at 8:30
- Seniors dismissed at 1:00; anyone attending the Six Flags trip reports to the bus loop
- May 9: Advisory (Chromebooks returned and graduation tickets handed out)
- Note: Each student only gets 12 graduation tickets. You cannot buy more tickets. Reach out to other students if you want more tickets.
- May 14: 3rd and 4th block senior exams
- Note: This is still a full day for seniors.
- May 15 (LAST DAY FOR SENIORS): 1st and 2nd block senior exams; Senior Celebration Night at Crosspointe Church, 5:30 pm
- Seniors leave after 2nd block
- May 16: Seniors do not report to school
- May 19: Graduation at the VBC Arena
- 8:00 a.m. graduation practice at the VBC Arena is REQUIRED
- 1:00 p.m. report for lineup: East Hall; doors open
- 2:00 p.m. ceremony: VBC Arena
- Live-stream link will be available closer to the date. This will be emailed to students. It will also be posted on the Bob Jones website and the Madison City Schools website.
- Pick up senior t-shirts, and your cap and gown in the library
- Cord distribution varies by club or society. Contact leaders for information.
- Check this spreadsheet to see if you qualify for the 4.0 white tassel. It will be updated on May 16. They can either be picked up on Friday, or they will be brought to graduation practice.
- Cords from the Madison City Seal of Distinction are available for pickup in the library. Check this list to see if you qualify. Cords are $5.

FOR MID-YEAR GRADUATES: drop off your Chromebook if you haven’t already. Graduation tickets can be picked up from the front office starting May 9.
Finally, final transcripts can be requested starting June 1. Do not try to request a transcript before this date. Use this link or follow the instructions provided on your diploma.
