The Madison Farmer’s Market offers the fresh, organic goods that you might not be able to find at your average grocery store.
Located on Hughes Road in front of the Senior Center, the farmer’s market is convenient to Bob Jones students and their families. Jamie Cifuentes, a customer, said, “It gives me access to fresh produce, breads, and dairy products at competitive prices.”
Because local farms have to compete with big chain grocery stores, customers of the Farmer’s Market also helps benefit the local economy. Cifuentes added, “The farmers are members of the community. Consumers have the chance to remove the middle man.”
“I’m a fan of the local honey,” said Sascha Kirkham, a junior at Bob Jones. Katherine Tidwell, a senior, appreciates the quality. “It takes a lot of work to even get a booth at the market.”
The Farmer’s Market meets from October 6th to November 17th from 9AM to 1PM.
