The Strokes is an American Indie Rock band that was formed in 1999. The band members are all playing a variety of instruments …Julian Casablancas (vocals), Nick Valensi (lead guitar), Albert Hammond Jr. (rhythm guitar), Nikolai Fraiture (bass), and Zio Moretti (drums). Their first album was released in 2001 in London first then it swam overseas to America and was sold. The albums that the Strokes released have an underground rock feel to them.
The released albums are “Is this it” 2001, “Room on Fire” 2003, “First Impressions of Earth” 2006, and “Angles” 2011. Their singles included “Hard to Explain”, “Last Nite”, “Someday” all in 2001. “12:51”and “Reptilia” released in 2003. “Juicebox” released to the public in 2005. “Heart in a Cage”, “You Only Live Once” were the singles in 2006. “Under Cover of Darkness” and “Taken for a fool” were released in 2011.
The Strokes are now busy recording their fifth c.d. in New York according to the rhythm guitar player Albert Hammond. The Stokes has a very unique eclectic sound that draws audiences in from all over the world. They are currently recording and writing a new album in New York that is rumored to be named “Strokes V”.
