The biggest event in Xbox 360 history happened this week with the release of the new update for Minecraft version 1.8.2. The fans of the game would say that this is the best upgrade that has happened to the game so far.
Many changes have been added making it truly hard to bear. One of the main changes that have been added is the ability to use creative mode. This mode lets the player use any creatable item however he or she pleases. You can also take a trip to the skies: flying is now available but only in creative mode.
Another innovation, which allows you to sprint, has been added. In the earlier stages, having to walk around at a snail’s pace was such a pain. Along with running, there comes another feature, the hunger bar. When full it can regenerate the health lost.
4J Studios the co-creators of the game said, “Let’s see if we can knock MW3 off of Xbox’s top played list. That would be a very big achievement if accomplished.” An avid player of Minecraft, Matt Kuenzli, says, “I am so happy that this update came out now I can do all that I ever wanted.”
On 4J’s twitter feed, “As soon as we released the 1.8.2 update we immediately began working on the 1.9 update.” Now I might add that the creators of Minecraft spend a lot of their time on the PC version, so the 1.9 update could take quite a while.
New additions include stackable meat, fence gates charge up bow, blocking, critical hits, chicken and cow meat. Also you can now see a new mob called Endermen, tall and pitch black men with purple eyes who can also pick up blocks.
There are a seemingly never ending bug fixes and additions but if you want to see them all just sign into Minecraft and play.
