The demigod crew is back in another action packed journey, Percy Jackson: Sea Of Monsters. The heroic son of Poseidon, Athena’s ravishing daughter, and the comical satyr return for their second adventure. Percy (Logan Lerman) is on a quest to retrieve the powerful golden fleece to make sure that the villainous Titan Cronus remains in his grave to fulfill his prophecy. In order to do this Percy will need the help of Grover (Brandon T. Jackson), Annabeth (Alexandra Daddario), and his half brother Tyson (Douglas Smith) who is a Cyclops.
I personally enjoyed the movie. There was a lot of action, explosions, comedy, and heart felt moments, but, I found one character to be particularly annoying: Clarrisse the daughter of Ares. She repetitively nags about how great, strong and smart she is, and feels that she can do everything by herself and never needs anyone’s help.
There’s a lot of controversy about how the movie isn’t anything like the book, but I didn’t read the book so I wouldn’t know. But, I do know that this movie is a great way to spend a night out with your friends, and not a waste of your time and well earned money.
This a great movie for all audiences especially tenagers and families. If you enjoy the Harry Potter series, you’ll have no problem enjoying this movie. The IMDb rates Percy Jackson: Sea Of Monsters 3.5 out of 5 stars. But I think it deserves a solid 4 out of 5 stars.
