Actually, no, you don’t.
The smell of schnitzel is in the air, concertinas and accordions are being tuned, and the beer guts are gathering. Indeed, Oktoberfest is right around the corner. Contrary to popular belief, the annual German celebration is an all-age group family event in the state of Alabama. Alcohol vending tents are set to the side for those 21 and older and looking for an exotic brew. Featuring rides, games, prizes, and authentic German cuisine and music, it’s the perfect place to take family and friends to experience the German culture.
According to www.muenchen.de, Oktoberfest is a sixteen day holiday first created to celebrate the royal marriage between Prince Ludwig of Bavaria to Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen in the good old days of 1810. Munich, Germany has the largest Oktoberfest of all, hosting 40,000 people from all around the world and featuring authentic German brews from the very first Oktoberfest.
