Hola señors and señoritas! Are you craving Mexican food? Are you tired of eating Taco Bell? Try going to Buenavista Mexican Cantina for some authentic Mexican cuisine. The atmosphere of the restaurant is just spectacular. Every waiter and waitress is friendly. Once you first step into the building you can smell all of the aromas from the fresh ingredients of the salsa and the grilled char of the steak.
If you don’t want to miss the big game and want a burrito in your stomach, Buenavista is where you need to be. There are countless flat screen TVs on every wall so that people can keep up with all of the ball games. Michael Stephens, a Bob Jones junior, said, “I would love to be watching football and eating Mexican food.” I was there with my family while the Auburn and Georgia game was on television.
The service was spot on. When I came to the restaurant, it was packed all the way to the front doors, but the wait wasn’t as long as I thought it was going to be. We only had to wait fifteen minutes, which is pretty good for a packed restaurant.
The food at Buena Vista is “buena” to say the least. The menu features a wide range of well loved Mexican dishes. I had the Burrito California, a sizable heap of rice, beans, beef or chicken, pico de gallo, Buena Vista’s signature red sauce and cheese. Sounds good right? Well it was, and I intend to go back and try something new!
The market for Mexican restaurants in Madison is tough, and there is no shortage of competition, but this newcomer promises to give the others a run for their money. Renaldo Beatty claims that “the food is way better than Casa Blanca,” a dangerous statement among fans of the sensationally popular restaurant. The dedication and optimism of its fans suggests that Buena Vista has a chance to unseat Casa Blanca from its glorified position.
Overall the prices are great for your typical restaurant in Alabama. It’s a great place for families and friends to eat quality Mexican food. I think Buenavista Mexican Cantina deserves five out of five stars.
Buenavista is Located at 8217 highway 72 west, Madison, Alabama.
