Taco Bell’s Nacho Fries

What do you call fries that aren’t yours? NACHO FRIES! Taco Bell now has french fries. I know, I know, try to contain your excitement. I mean how can you not go out and try these things?

After days of going before school in multiple failed morning attempts, I finally found the time to go to Taco Bell after school one day and try them. I ordered a side of the fries with a blue raspberry Airheads slushie. They come in different forms; I just got the side. You can get the nacho fries supreme and order the same way you would a plate of nachos. I ordered and received my fries fairly quickly. Then I took my first bite– it was crispy and warm. Just what you’d expect from a fry. Then I tried another fry, dipped in the nacho cheese sauce they provide for you. The fry had an odd Mexican seasoning. Not that I didn’t like it, but it did kind of put me off.

The cheese sauce comes in a small plastic cup and seemed really fake. Like the cheese you get with nachos from the movie theatres. Granted, it was heated up, but still. I figured out it was really good mixed with the Diablo hot sauce.

Janice Hendrick, a senior, also tried the new Nacho Fries. “I enjoyed the spices they used, but overall they just tasted like regular fries with plastic cheese.”

Overall, the fries were interestingly good. They really spiced up the industry. The quality of the product depends on the time of day, like most fast food places, and the cheese might need some work.
