Season 2 of Good Omens was announced back in June of this year after author Neil Gaiman posted a tweet about it on Twitter. Fans have since gone wild since they never thought they would get another season of the show.

The actors of the main characters, David Tennant, who plays Crowley, and Michael Sheen, who plays Aziraphale have been hinting at their return as well. Michael has been posting photos on his Twitter account for the past few days, showing off his grey hair and outfit that his character is always seen in.

While Tennant doesn’t have social media, his wife, Georgia Tennant has updated us through her Twitter. She made a tweet notifying us on the status of David’s hair, saying that it is, “Still not ginger”.

At the moment, not much is known about what will happen in season 2. Currently, the only real hint as to what might happen is the synopsis from Amazon, “The new season will explore storylines that go beyond the original source material to illuminate the uncanny friendship between Aziraphale, a fussy angel and rare book dealer, and the fast-living demon Crowley. Having been on Earth since The Beginning and with the Apocalypse thwarted, Aziraphale and Crowley are getting back to easy living amongst mortals in London’s Soho when an unexpected messenger presents a surprising mystery.”

Gaiman also stated, “I got to use bits of the sequel in Good Omens — that’s where our angels came from. Terry’s not here any longer, but when he was, we had talked about what we wanted to do with Good Omens, and where the story went next.” He continued, “There are so many questions people have asked about what happened next (and also, what happened before) to our favourite Angel and Demon. Here are the answers you’ve been hoping for. We are back in Soho, and all through time and space, solving a mystery, which starts with an angel wandering through Soho, with no memory.”

Not only are we getting a new season, Tennant and Sheen are going to be reading an audiobook version of the novel. The audiobook will be available from HarperCollins on November 2 for $28.99. It will be available on Audible and more.

We’re looking forward to what happens in the upcoming season 2 of Good Omens.
