Kanye Is Off The Grid

Kanye West’s unparalleled boldness has resulted in a lot of different perspectives on him. Ye’s recent tirade has caused confusion and disapproval from a lot of people but has gained the support of some others as well. Ye has always been a resolved guy who is not scared to voice his opinion or stand up to those who doubted him. For example, his debut single, Through the Wire, was recorded 2 weeks after a nearly fatal accident, which led to him breaking his jaw and needing it to be wired shut. He did not let that stop him from his goals, however. Ye pushes boundaries, but where is the limit that boundaries can be pushed?

In his latest dispute, he took to social media to express his displeasure with Kim Kardashian (his potential ex-wife) for not letting him join his daughter’s party. The situation escalated from there when Pete Davidson and Kim K were observed going on a date. Pete Davidson was then harassed by people due to Kanye’s provocation. This could be where Kanye crossed the line.

Most people can be held to standards; they can be criticized. Criticism of Kanye’s actions is nothing new. According to a survey, most people at Bob Jones don’t necessarily dislike him. 44 percent of students listen to his music and generally like him (3.7% hate his music though ). Nonetheless, these supporters also stand against Kanye’s actions in his recent controversy. A lot of people blame Kanye’s seemingly unconstrained actions on his ‘big ego’, but what they don’t understand is that his mental health might be playing a part in his outbursts on social media.

In light of this situation, the discussion of the mental health of celebrities and people from other categories has been brought up once again. The mental health of certain groups is not taken into as much consideration as some other groups. A few celebrities might not have their mental health valued simply because they are celebrities. Some might even argue that men’s mental wellbeing, in general, is overlooked.

Furthermore, these problems are prominent in minority communities as a result of the unique struggles they face in America. The pandemic has made it more difficult for victims of mental illness to get help but awareness can be spread. National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, which takes place during July, is an opportunity where we could prioritize aiding all individuals with mental illness.

While his actions are without a doubt unacceptable, Ye’s status and past are playing a role in the prejudice towards him.

The conflict has been resolved for the most part, with Ye’s focus now being on his new album, Donda 2.

In conclusion, the mental state of individuals ought to be taken into account when observing or judging their actions. Kanye should receive help so does not go off the grid again (haha, get it?).
