Nick Cage is Still the King of Action

This past weekend, a movie titled “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent” was released. If you haven’t seen the trailer for the movie, click here (this movie is rated R so watch with caution). As you can see, the movie is unique for many reasons.

First off, you’ll notice that movie is starring Nick Cage… as Nick Cage. He is playing himself in this movie which is what made me immediately want to see it. While Nick Cage is an iconic actor by himself, the whole cast of the movie is extremely impressive. The cast includes big names like Pedro Pascal, Neil Patrick Harris, and Tiffany Haddish. The movie starts with what seems to be a very dramatic portrayal of an artist on a downfall. However, it quickly turns into an exciting, but still dramatic, action movie where Nick Cage must save a young girl who was kidnapped.

I believe this movie achieved its goal perfectly. It is a fun, comedic movie with an extremely dramatic action aspect that makes it feel like a classic Nick Cage movie. I’m not a die-hard fan of Nick Cage or anything, but I still understood the movie without being confused. Something that stood out to me was the friendship between Cage’s and Pascal’s characters. The dynamic between them felt so genuine and it felt like the two actors were just being themselves on the set. The overly-dramatic parts of the movie are the best. It makes the comedic aspect of the movie so much stronger.

I highly recommend seeing this movie. I know it seems like a bit of an odd concept at first, but I believe everyone will appreciate this movie if they are looking for a fun movie. And if you don’t want to take my word for it, then trust the rotten tomatoes score of 87%!
