Christmas Events in the Madison/Huntsville Area

Many holiday events are happening in the Huntsville and Madison area this time of year. You and your friends or family should check out some of these events to get into the holiday spirit.

Galaxy of Lights

The Galaxy of Lights at the Huntsville Botanical Garden is probably the most well-known Christmas event on this list. The Galaxy of Lights is a drive-through light show, but you can also pre-purchase a ticket for a walking night or you can take your dog and walk it down the lit-up trail on dog nights. Another thing you can do is run the 5k Race or the 3k Fun Run.

Rocket City Christmas Light Show

The Rocket City Lights Show is held at the Toyota Field every winter for 45 nights in a row. This is similar to the Galaxy of Lights because it’s also a drive-through light show. However, you can also go inside the ballpark to meet Santa, drink hot chocolate, and roast s’mores with the fire pits.

Tinsel Trail

The Tinsel Trail is located at Big Spring Park in Downtown Huntsville. This is a free event where you can go and look at over four-hundred Christmas trees that people and different organizations have decorated.

Mrs. Claus Snow Stroll

Mrs. Claus’ Snow Stroll is located at Stovehouse in Huntsville. Here, you can see snow falling on the first three Fridays and Saturdays in December. You can also go to the shops on Gas Light Alley where the stores are helping make kid-friendly crafts like making ornaments, DIY snow globes, and coloring pages.

Embrace the holiday season, and have a Merry Christmas!
