It is now spring! We have warmer days, the flowers are blooming, and the sun is out longer. So let’s appreciate the weather and enjoy ourselves before the heat of summer gets here. There are many ways to spend your free time. A bonus is that these events can be experienced with friends and family!

If you enjoy being outside, listening to good music, and eating tasty food, come out to The Market! It is a great place to hang out with family and friends, on a Sunday afternoon. Think you’re to hold an egg hunt? Well, you’re not! If you don’t have plans for Easter weekend, Athens is holding their annual Helicopter Egg Drop for ALL AGES. Adults are encouraged to come for the celebration on April 8th. They will hold separate times for different ages. CLICK HERE to see times. Food, prizes, and candy will all be available to enjoy at the event, so make sure to come out.
Huntsville Botanical Gardens has a new exhibit called Origami in the Garden. Whether walking around in nature or looking at origami piques your interest, this is the place to be. Origami sculptures like butterflies, ponies, and birds are sprinkled around the garden. It is a cool place to do photography or even take selfies. For an exciting art-filled weekend, Big Spring Park is hosting their 41st annual Panoply Arts Festival on April 28-30th. There will be over 100 art visuals shown, musical acts and bands will play, a variety of food, interactive activities, and a lot more to indulge in.
