Disclaimer: Not freaky- unless you mean frightening.
The 2023 Roblox dress-up game has recently taken off on TikTok. Dress To Impress gives many of us a nostalgic feeling of dress-up games from our childhood. But, what if this seemingly simple, mindless game was actually a mystery in disguise?
In 2024, the creator of the game, Gigi, released an update on April Fools, including the expected bug fixes and also gags such as new “big feet and toenails.” One “gag” is “the nail lady is plotting something.” Sounds fun and innocent, right? Until you go to her desk to investigate. Here, you will find a diary. The open page reads, “Dear Diary, I hate it here… I have been working here for the past 5 years. 24/7. No breaks…and nobody respects me or knows my name. They just call me ‘nail lady,’ when I am so much more than that. My name is Lana.” From this entry, we learn that Lana has been used in her practice and is violently overworked. In an interview with the nail lady, she shares that she suffers from an unknown chronic illness. The reason she took this job was because of Gigi’s offer to pay off all of Lana’s medical debt. She was unaware, however, that she would suffer in this agreement. After five years Lana is fed up. Hence why in the same diary entry she states, “I will backfire on all the people who take advantage of [me].” Next to the diary is a slip of paper titled, “Target List.” It includes multiple developers involved in the making of the game, but the most important is DiarBenOfficial. Gigi admits that it is him behind Lana’s story, and soon after this Lana goes missing. Missing posters are hung behind her desk. However, these are proven fake, and it is revealed that she’s held hostage by DiarBenOfficial.
Several videos on Lana’s YouTube channel reveal more secrets surrounding her revenge on those who have wronged her.
I am choosing not to spoil too much of the storyline so that if you wish to figure it out on your own, you can.
There are multiple secrets and rooms hidden in the game itself. Have fun and stay safe…
