The 2025 Bob Jones High School Varsity Winter Guard show this year is titled “There Will Be Better Days.” This show is about always knowing that there are better days ahead of us no matter what we are going through. It’s almost like having hope in your darkest struggle.
On February 15th Bob Jones hosted Madtown, and the winter guard came in 4th place. All of the competing indoor groups from other districts and even other states performed well.
Senior and Captain Caroline Streling said, “My favorite thing about our show this year is the level of difficulty our show presents. I’ve been a member of the Varsity Winter Guard for all four years of high school, and this show in particular is definitely the most challenging I’ve been in. Our coaches have really stepped up this year to give us the best show possible that not only challenges new members, but vets as well. I always love going to competitions and watching the other groups. SCGC is such an encouraging circuit and it’s so much fun to cheer on other groups when they’re performing especially if we’re with some of the girls on the team performing. To me, this show is about finding happiness in the darkest moments. They’re always going to be light at the end of the tunnel, you just have to trust and know that there will be better days ahead. In our show, the ocean theme is a metaphor for how life comes in waves.”
The winter guard had a great time competing on their home turf this past weekend.
