An adventure filled with chills and thrills, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, was released in theaters December 14. Directed by Peter Jackson, The Hobbit is a tale in which a hobbit is accompanied by a group of dwarves and a wizard on a journey to reclaim their home from a dragon named Smaug. It was rated PG-13, and for good reason. Fantasy, violence, and some frightening scenes may be a bit too much for the young ones!
There are many mixed feelings about The Hobbit. Adam Kim, a fellow student at Bob Jones, calls it a “great movie, an incredible journey, and a quest of illiad proportion.” I, for one, feel that “The Hobbit” lacks the greatness imbued by The Lord of the Rings trilogy, however, the special effects gives a kind of magical feel to the movie.
