This Saturday, April 20, National Record Store Day will attempt to promote, and maybe save, local record stores everywhere. If just helping out your local record store isn’t enough, there will be some pretty significant incentives.
Every Record Store Day has some pretty crazy releases ON VINYL. This year’s roster is insane; there is literally something for everyone. These releases, and rereleases, are limited to participating record stores and are a one-day thing.
Everything from Notorious B.I.G., to the Animals, to Between the Buried and Me will be released. Some of the highlights from “The List” are: the Dio/Killswitch Engage split of Dio’s “Holy Diver”, Mumford & Sons “Live at Bull Moose”, and Linkin Park’s “Hybrid Theory”.
Bob Jones teacher, Mrs. Panagos, says, “I’m very excited to head down to Tuscaloosa to pick up the Black Lips/ Icky Blossoms Split and the White Stripes’ rerelease of “Elephant”.
Do not sleep on this, get yourself to a record store Saturday.
