Pie in the Sky, located in the Target shopping center off of Highway 72 in Madison, offers an array of delicious Italian foods. The staff is very friendly, eager to please, and work quickly.
Pie in the Sky is known for their pizzas, but they also carry wings, soups, salads, sandwiches, and wraps. All of these menu items range from ten to twenty dollars. An appetizer of garlic bread with cheese and a personal nine inch pizza with portabella mushrooms and garlic seasoned chicken was the meal of choice.
The garlic bread with cheese was delicious and the best part of the meal; however, there were only two slices. It took a considerably long time for the entrees to come out, and the first thing noticed was that the serving sizes were incredibly small.
The pizza was not very good, the mushrooms tasted like cardboard, the chicken was bland, and the cheese, sauce, and crust tasted like any other normal pizza place.
Overall, the experience was mediocre. The pizza, which is what Pie in the Sky is meant to be known for, wasn’t that good and it was overpriced. Pie in the Sky is worth the occasional visit just because the employees are friendly and the garlic bread is wonderful.
