Chris Comer is a local attorney running for Circuit Court Judge. Last Wednesday he stopped by Bob Jones to inform students about the judicial system and his plans if elected. He spoke about his life, his family, why he felt he was best for the job, and the circuit court in general.
Chris Comer plans on setting up a detailed schedule board, so that each judge has certain things they have to do in a certain time. He wants judges for cases to sit down, lay out their individual ground rules, and set due dates for everything that needs to get done in the case.
This is the 4th political guest we have had at Bob Jones. Having had a circuit court judge nominee last week the students did not have as many questions as normal, and the session did not last as long, but that does not mean the students did not recognize the importance of this event.
Mugdha Mokashi, a local Junior said, “I feel that it was very insightful to have Mr. Comers speak to us as it gives us an in-depth view of our local judicial system”.
