The number one killer of women in the U.S is heart disease. In support of women everywhere, Bob Jones went red.
On Friday, February 1st, Bob Jones showed its support by going red. And you know the saying…
According to mercola.com, the key to preventing heart disease is to focus on both physical health and emotional health. Stress and an unhealthy diet can heighten the risk for heart disease. Which means–you guessed it–no late night Taco Bell runs, or putting off that assignment that you know you’ve been avoiding.
Showing support for this most worthy of causes, Mrs. Davis, a Spanish teacher at Bob Jones, posted on Facebook, “I’ll be wearing red for Bella Rose, who is just a little girl now. I pray that God grows her into a woman, whose healed heart is on fire for Him!”
Teachers aren’t the only ones that think this is a cause worth fighting for.
Kayla Daigle, a junior at Bob Jones, said, “I think by wearing red, it shows that our school is banding together to show our support for someone with this disease or who knows someone that is hurting because of it.”
