With the PlayStation 3 being out for almost 6 years, Sony thinks it’s finally time to release the next best thing in gaming: the PlayStation 4. Sony says that this next gen console is going to be a revolutionary gaming experience that even today’s highest technological games won’t even come close to reaching the maximum limit.
At its announcement, it was said that it will contain 4 Dual core AMD64s for its CPU with a total memory of 10.2 GB. It will, also, support Blu-Ray and have 4 USB, and 2 Ethernet ports.
Since the console isn’t going to be released until the “holidays,” all of these details are up for change. The controllers, however, have been officially released, which stick with the original design from the PS3. The only difference is the new share button for social network gaming, and the touchbacks. It is also rumored that the new controllers can keep up with individual profiles, so that, when you go to your friend’s house, all of your online status comes with you.
Steven Huey commented, “Dude, I can’t wait!”. Many Sony fan-boys are pumped for this new announcement, but, unfortunately, there have been no visuals of the console itself. Hopefully there will be in the near future.
