On Sunday, March 16th, from 1 pm-4 pm, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) will host its third edition of March Madness. Bob Jones’ students will be able to form teams of 3-6 people and play against other each other in hopes of facing off against the faculty.
The cost is $20 per team. Each team must have at least one boy or one girl. The winning student team will play the faculty in the championship game. The winner gets bragging rights.
Huddle coach for Bob Jones’, Amy Thaxton, says March Madness is a great opportunity for the students. “ It is really just a fun environment. You will see a whole different group of students interact and enjoy being around each other.”
FCA Area Representative, Walt Guest, a Bob Jones alumni, will share a short encouraging message at halftime.
March Madness is free to the public. FCA encourages people to make a donation at the door which will go towards the Coach Pat Cavender Legacy Scholarship that we will give to a senior who exemplifies FCA’s four core values of integrity, service, teamwork, and excellence.
The last day to register for March Madness is Thursday, March 13th. If one has more questions or concerns, he or she can e-mail Amy Thaxton, [email protected] or click here.
Whistle Stop Sweet Shop of Madison will be sponsoring this event.
