Nintendo Land Comes to Life

Nintendo, a worldwide known gaming company that was founded in the late 1800s selling japanese flower cards, has grown and in the past 120 years. From cards, to consoles, to handheld gaming, Nintendo has made quite a name for itself. Over the years the company has impressed its fan base by staying up to date with the time, like they’re recent handheld the 3DS, giving the player to feel as if the game is popping off their screen. Pretty cool, right? But what would be even more amazing? How about an amusement park?

Nintendo has recently revealed their latest partnership with Universal Park and Resort. They are working together to build and create a new attraction/world to Universal where all your favorite Nintendo characters can live. Not much has been said about what attractions or who all for a fact will take part in this Nintendo Park, as of right now it’s mainly just a concept and an announcement stating Universal and Nintendo have indeed partnered up together.

We asked some Bob Jones High School students about their thoughts on the whole new Nintendo Park. Arron Grenier, a serious Nintendo fanboy, said, “It’s actually a brilliant idea for Nintendo and Universal to do this. Nintendo now has a unique way of marketing their product and Universal now has a way to compete with Disney World. It’s a win-win situation for both of them.”

Others feel that it’s a desperate act on Nintendo’s part.  “They’re a struggling company; any partnership is good for Nintendo.  It may or may not be good for Universal,” said Mrs. Panagos, a Career Tech teacher at Bob Jones.

Regardless, for those of you who have been faithful to the Nintendo brand, an amusement park with all your favorite Nintendo characters might be pretty cool.
