Veterans’ Day was recognized nationally in 1954 by President Eisenhower, though there is a rich history of veteran recognition prior to its national recognition. To honor our area veterans, the city of Huntsville will host a parade downtown at 11:00 A.M. on November 11.

Bob Jones recognized military veterans in a variety of ways this week. S2S, which is the Military Child Coalition, created a slideshow to highlight staff and student military families. They also organized a breakfast for veterans. Peer Helpers created a Thank You video and helped with the breakfast. Ms. Debbie Scott and Mrs. Ky Edger are the respective sponsors.

There will be no school on Friday, November 10. Be sure to thank a veteran for their service!
