It’s that time of the year again: course scheduling and registration.

This Monday, February 24, registration packets went out to all students, except for seniors, of course. Juniors received their transcripts to ensure all credit requirements would be met by the end of their senior year. If for some reason you’ve already lost your packets, you can find all of the information you need, as well as printable packets, on the Bob Jones website. You can also find course descriptions in the Curriculum Catalog under the registration tab.

On March 11, a Curriculum Fair will be held in the Bob Jones Central Commons from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This will provide students and parents the opportunity to learn more about the course offerings. During that time, informational meetings about AP classes will also be held. Additionally, parent/counselor appointments will be available from February 24 to March 13. When choosing your classes for the next school year, make sure to pick courses that you know you will enjoy and that will challenge you. Don’t sell yourself short. Try to take Honors or AP level courses in subjects that you are passionate about or excel in. Harder classes better prepare you for college and all of your future endeavours. However, you should choose your classes wisely as schedule changes will be more limited next year. Once Honors or AP level classes are selected, they cannot be dropped without administration approval. Speak with your teachers or counselors if you need help deciding on what classes to take. Students have until March 20 to decide on their schedule.

• February 24th-March 13th–Parents can call to schedule appointments to meet with counselors (20 min appointments)

• March 4th–Patriot Expedition for Discovery Students (Rising Freshmen)

• March 11th–BJHS Curriculum Night (5 p.m.-7 p.m.)

• March 9th-13th– BJHS students enter course requests in INOW and complete course request form located in registration packet

• March 16th-20th–DMS rising 9th grade students use INOW to enter course requests at school and turn in registration forms to Mrs. Moody and Mr. VanDorn at DMS.

• March 20th–LAST DAY for registration packets AND changes.
