A Virtual Tour of Auschwitz

Yesterday, Mrs. Murray’s and Mrs. Worley’s 10th-grade English classes got to have a virtual tour of the Auschwitz Concentration camp with a professor from Poland.

During this 2-hour Zoom call, the students learned lots of new information about the Holocaust. The professor was very knowledgeable and the students got to see original footage of what Auschwitz looks like currently as well as old photos and videos of Auschwitz when it was an active concentration and death camp. They also had the opportunity to ask questions at the end of the session.

Gina Lanyi attended the virtual tour and said, “It was really impactful to get an inside view on what Auschwitz was really like.”

What happened during the Holocaust at Auschwitz and other camps during that time period was an absolute atrocity, and the students appreciated their teachers for organizing this event and educating them on this important topic.
