Students and staff said goodbye to Mr. Runnion today during his retirement party in Patriot Hall. Mr. Runnion spent 12 years at Bob Jones in some capacity, but all of us currently know him as the very tall assistant principal. While here, he was a science teacher, a coach, an administrator, and an athletics director.
He said that he will miss “the amazing people, both the adults and the students. Bob Jones is such a special place because we have really amazing people.”
In an email to the staff, Mr. Runnion said, “I’ve always felt at home at Bob Jones, and that is 100% because of the wonderful family of faculty and staff that love each other and consistently think of others first. Our students are blessed to be at BJ because you fight for them, you love on them, you provide for them, and you hold them accountable.”
He and his retired wife will spend their retirement traveling and just enjoying family time.
