September 26th is the first choir concert of the 2024 – 2025 school year. The Coffee and Cake Concert will be in the Bob Jones Auditorium at 7:00 pm. Donations will be accepted at the door.
This concert will be Disney-themed with various songs from The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, and a lot more. The choir will begin the concert with “The Star-Spangled Banner,” and then the choir will sing “Be Our Guest “before moving into solos and ensembles and the Bell Canto group.
After these, they will sing “Circle of Life,” “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King,” “Be Prepared,” “Hakuna Matata,” and “Can You Feel The Love Tonight?” Many soloists will be featured and ensemble groups will perform other Disney songs like “Part of Your World,” “Arabian Nights,” “The Circle of Life,” and plenty more.
Senior Millie Hoksbergen said, “We have been working really hard for this Disney-themed concert! And you should come!”
Mr. Fields, the choir director, has put much thought and planning into the Coffee and Cake Concert Performance. Over the years, he has directed many other choirs and put on other concerts, but this one might be the best. Mr. Fields said that the donations for this event will “help with costs of getting the rights to perform copyrighted music, play for piano maintenance, and other expenses of the chorus program.”
You won’t be disappointed with the first concert of the year, so be sure to attend the concert in Bob Jones auditorium on September 26th, 2024, at 7 pm.
