The Bob Jones art students represented our school well at the UAH Art Expo. Oro Odesola placed 2nd in drawing, and Charlie McGinley placed 2nd & Ace Pastukah placed 3rd in painting.
The UAH Department of Art, Art History, and Design showcased student work from a variety of high schools, including Bob Jones, James Clemens, and Sparkman as well as many other high schools, in Wilson Hall from October 24 to November 16. Student work included a wide range of mediums, including Works on Paper, Painting, Digital Media and Design, Mixed Media and 3D art, and Photography.
Students in attendance could also tour the facilities, attend demos, and meet UAH art and design faculty.
“I really enjoyed it. I had a lot of fun there,” said sophomore Chris Vu.
Top students could earn one-year scholarships starting at $1000, but all students winners received certificates and art supplies.
