Cadets are expected to uphold even higher standards of excellence beyond the expectations of standard cadets. The organization is dedicated to serving the community, developing leadership, and academic excellence.
To join the Elite Knights, cadets must go through the three-week-long pledge period. The pledge period consists of memory work for key components of KHHS, such as the Air Force Song, the Preamble to the Constitution of the KHHS, and the Purpose of the Pledge Program. Pledges must also complete hours of community service and service projects during the pledge program. Members are required to hold a 3.0 unweighted grade point average and a 3.5 weighted grade point average. Members must have also completed at least 2 semesters of AFJROTC in the classroom or be active in the reserve component.
