Bob Jones High School AFJROTC B-21 Raider team cadets competed in the Athens High School JROTC 13th annual Jingle Bell Jog 5k on Saturday, 7 December 2024. The 5k race at Athens Middle School is designed to raise funds for the Athens High School Army JROTC program and bring together JROTC cadets from North Alabama to compete in the run on the individual or team categories.

Bob Jones entered three teams of four cadets each – 2 all male teams and 1 female team. Weather conditions were rough with a 22-degree temperature during the run, but this did not stop Bob Jones AFJROTC from sweeping the competition. Team One placed first overall and Team Three placed second in the team categories. Among Team One, two cadets placed in the individual categories; Gyan Bhagat took first place with a time of 22:08 and Paxton Wardrick took home second place with a time of 22:26. On Team Three Kyle Makrell placed third in individual with a time of 22:45.
