Mr. Lanford’s construction classes are working together on a project for the school to help beautify and improve the safety of Bob Jones and its students. Mr. Lanford and his students are working on the deck outside near the tennis courts in order to minimize the risk of the school’s older areas and prevent any accidents from occurring on school grounds.

Since this project is still relatively new, they’re starting out by designing and constructing a staircase on the side of the deck for a secondary access point to be able to reach the deck while they deconstruct the ramp leading up to the deck. 

This is a hands-on way to teach the students participating in the construction academy’s courses while also bettering our school environment in the process.
